Thank you to everyone who joined us in opposing the Bush Administration’s proposed regulations that would weaken the Endangered Species Act. Over 100,000 citizens submitted comments opposing the Bush Extinction Plan!
The Endangered Species Coalition delivered your comments to the Department of the Interior on Friday. Since they refused to accept email comments, we printed out all the comments and delivered them in person.

The response to the Bush Administrations Endangered Species Act regulations have been impressive:
* 131 organizations have voiced their opposition to the regulations
* over 100,000 citizens submitted comments opposing the regulations
* 97 members of Congress wrote a letter opposing the regulations
* Over 50 major papers have editorialized against the regulations
Thank you to everyone who joined us in opposing the Bush Extinction Plan. Together, we have shown the vast public support for keeping the Endangered Species Act strong.
It has been really incredible to see Americans declare that they wanted an end to the destruction of endangered species protections. Demonstrating such massive opposition ensures that the Bush Administration will not be able to slip this underhanded attempt to weaken conservation laws without notice. The American public has stated loud and clear that they reject this attempt to weaken the Endangered Species Act.
We’ll keep you updated on the Bush Administration’s response to the overwhelming opposition to their regulations.
